It was a surprise BD celebration for Ramya on the 19th sept, in Bose's house....Jeyaram has really made it as a surprise party, and, i believe, Ramya still wondering how was it possible...the cake was eggless, so managed to eat some of it too...it was a nice evening, though missed singh and dhanam...
Enjoyed the nice crispy (virudhunagar) parota prepared by Uma. had the same parota for the next morning too...not that Uma did not want to waste it, just that i liked it more than dosa...
was indulging in to Bose's investment calculations, detailed and scientific (should i say mathematic??)...you see, you never know how people get expertise in different areas...a chemical engineer talking about economy in detail...
later were discussing, the software for Ramya's apparels business...hope i can work on it more...
sunday (18th sept) fetched naveena from hostel and she was staying in our home till this morning (23rd sept)...
Sunday night went out for dinner and ....oh boy....i guess people are not interested in cooking on weekends anymore...long gueues, even to get a seat in velachery restaurants....thinking of good old days, when my mom used to cook 5 different dishes (we are 5 children for her) every day. not sure what motivated her to do that every day....i guess, she believed that is how life should be lived...in fact, she has strong views about each and everything in life...it became apparent to me only when she visited singapore (when she was walking fine, still)...for ex, she likes prawn and she likes மெது வடை....in singapore, they combine these too and i thought she would like it...she did not touch it at all...she never believed in bread and jam as food (for that matter of fact, most of us in kovilpatti do not believe that) and she always get worried that when i tell her i had bread and jam for the breakfast...it is very dishearterning to see such a strong person not able to do her own things on her own...i can not even imagine, how she would be feeling now...who said elderness is second childhood?
had h1n1 vaccines yesterday...its cost was 600 rupees per head...imagine, entertainment instruments like TV is freely distributed to the people and life saving drugs are not in reach for people...
